23 year old Billie Eilish brought her HIT ME HARD AND SOFT WORLD TOUR to Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 10th, 2025. The tour follows her third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. Tulsa was the third to last stop on the final leg of her biggest headline tour to date, and yes, I survived the Ticketmaster war to get tickets.
Opening the night was the Canadian indie band Men I Trust, formed in 2014 and made up of Emmanuelle Proulx on vocals and guitar, Jessy Caron on guitar and bass, and Dragos Chiriac on keyboard. You might know their hit song “Show Me How,” which feels like floating in slow motion.Their set made an hour feel like 15 minutes. From the nosebleeds, hardly anyone was standing, which makes sense for their slow dreamy sound, but that did not stop me and my sister. Their performance felt quiet, intentional, and beautifully delivered. How could you not stand for that?
After Men I Trust left the stage, blue lights washed over the entire BOK Center. Suddenly everyone’s outfits looked the same. Strangers looked familiar, all buzzing with the same anticipation. The energy was unreal and the wave circled the arena at least ten times. After 30 minutes of random screams from people who thought Billie was walking out, she finally did. The lights snapped from blue to black and white as smoke and strobes filled the 360 degree stage. She rose from a glowing cage right on the line, “Man, am I the greatest,” and the arena erupted.
The show has two sides. There is a Hard side with fast cathartic tracks, pyrotechnics, lasers, and a Soft side with slow emotional songs, acoustic guitars, and keyboards. Billie opened with “CHIHIRO,” “LUNCH,” and “Therefore I Am,” and the arena turned into pure chaos in the best way. Then she paused and asked, “Are you ready to have fun?” before going straight into her devastating song “WILDFLOWER.” The emotional whiplash was intense but the contrast felt perfect. It gave you time to catch your breath after jumping and screaming. Thousands of flashlights flooded the venue as she sang like rent was due.
For the soft section, Billie had one request. She asked the crowd to be completely silent so she could build a vocal loop for “when the party’s over” like the studio version. It only works when the arena is quiet. After many threats from fans, said with love, everyone finally went silent. You could hear doors closing and muffled coughs. The crowd remained silent for the entire intro and she even told us we did a good job.
Back on the hard side, Billie performed her power ballad “THE GREATEST.” She sat center stage on a rising platform for the slow half of the song, and only stood for the explosive bridge on the line, “Man am I the greatest.” Everyone was screaming their lungs out, myself included. She then made her way under the stage to her B stage where she was catapulted feet in the air jumping straight into her verse on her collaboration “Guess”.
She slowed things down again and shared that during her last visit to the BOK Center, she wrote her Oscar winning song “No Time To Die” in the dressing room with her brother Finneas. The rest of the show flew by as she continued the pattern of making us cry then shaking it off.
Attending this show with my sister felt full circle. We both grew up listening to Billie’s music, and seeing her live together was a truly surreal experience. I find Billie incredibly inspiring, yet familiar it feels as though she grew up alongside us. She first went viral with her song “ Ocean Eyes” which my sister would make countless musicallys to.
Touring creates a massive environmental footprint, so Billie made a real effort to make this run as sustainable as possible. She partnered with Google Maps to highlight low impact travel options including real time transit, walking routes, and fuel efficient directions to the venue. She also worked with REVERB to build an Eco Action Village into each stop. Fans were able to ditch single use plastic with reusable bottles and free water refill stations, take a plant based meal pledge, connect with local climate nonprofits, weigh in on sustainable fashion, and even register to vote.
At the final show of the tour, Billie revealed her upcoming 3D concert film created with James Cameron, the director of Titanic. It comes to theaters in March 2026, and I truly cannot wait to relive this experience outside of my camera roll. This was the greatest show I have ever been to.
